Dr. Ri-Chard McCarthy is a lifelong resident of Harford County and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was appointed the position of leading the Education and Technology Directorate of the CHOSEN CDC in December 2020.  As the Director of Education and Technology, he oversees all programming that relates to the upliftment and empowerment of the youth in our community.  As an educational leader, he is an advocate who promotes programming that encourages youth leaders to be generational trailblazers and innovators in the fields of STEM, business, and the arts.
